First Aid Kits, Lunch with the Sisters and more!

"A few weeks ago we drove to Agoo to spend the day visiting missionaries and delivering First Aid Kits.  We were happy to see their smiling faces and their apartments looked so clean and organized!  We love to see this when we visit.  We started in Rosario and worked our way up north.  As you enter Agoo you are greeted with this pretty arch sign and the green trees that line the road.  We also encountered some water buffalo.  You have to look carefully to see them submerged in the water in the fields.  I usually miss them because they are hard to see.  As we made our way north we invited some of the missionaries to meet us for lunch.  It became quite an ordeal because the first place we tried, Brad and I were not allowed in because of our age.  There is a rule that people over 60 and under 21 should not be out yet because of the virus.  We tried another place and there was an event going on.  The third place had an hour wait plus we were too old to get in again.  Finally on the fourth try we were able to all get in and eat!

"Many times we have to watch out for goats and chickens in the middle of the road!"

"This is a picture of a new meeting house because constructed in Tubao.  It's not as big as a regular church building but looks similar."

"This huge eagle greets you as you start up the mountain to Tubao.  I need to get a better picture of it."

"In our mission right now we only have 18 sisters.  I decided with such a small number I would be able to travel around and take each companionship to lunch!  It took two months to get to everyone.  We had a week when the restaurants all closed because of a small Covid outbreak, but I was eventually able to get to all of them.  I was even allowed in all the restaurants being over 60.  It was a really great experience for me to talk with them and learn more about their families and talk about their lives as missionaries right now."

"This is the Urdaneta Temple that is under construction.  It is not in our mission but is only about 2 1/2 hours away.  We hope it will be finished before we go home and we are able to attend the open house."

"Here are some pictures of all of our grandkids as they went back to school.  This year has had many challenges and changes but kids are so good at adapting to whatever they have to do!  They love school and appreciate the chance they get to go now more than ever."
