October/November 2020

Going back a few months to catch up!  Here are some updates from my mom:

"One of the things all missionaries look forward to during the six week transfer period is zone conference.  We have not been able to meet together since March 2020.  We were so blessed to have our first one again in October! These are pictures from the San Fernando Zone."

"Agoo Zone...."

"Unfortunately we were not allowed to meet with two of our zones so we had another zoom zone conference with Baguio and Candon Zones."

"We were also happy to have our zone conferences in November!  San Fernando Zone...."

"Agoo Zone...."

"We love attending Baptisms on Saturdays."

"Sometimes you just want to share all of your cereal with missionaries, especially when they are hungry!"

"Birthdays with the office elders!"

"The rainy season in the Philippines is usually around the first of October.  Unfortunately this year we had 3 super typhoons hit in October and November.  We were very lucky to be missed by all three.  They caused terrible flooding and destruction in other parts of the country."

"We had 8 missionaries complete their missions in November.  Four left the first part of the month.  Elder Ogaya, our assistant, loves to cook.  He and Elder Monteros made our meal for the evening.  We all loved it!"

"At the end of the month, the other four left.  Brad cooked hamburgers on the grill.  We had such a fun night."

"Our grandkids having a Halloween party at our house back at home!  Missing Hank who was at baseball."

"One of the hardest things about being away from home is missing important things in the lives of our family.  Our grandson, Cal, was baptized on November 7th.  We were fortunate to see everything during our zoom call with them.  We love him and are so proud of him!"

"We loved our Thanksgiving zoom call with our family!"

"Spending Thanksgiving having dinner with our missionaries."

"Our missionaries are very talented and can make instruments out of anything!  We love the videos they make to share."
