"We were excited for our first Christmas Conference! The MLC helped us plan the day. We divided the mission into two. The first conference was held December 10th at the Candon chapel. It included Banqued, Candon, Bacnotan and San Fernando zones. The second conference was held December 12th in Baguio and included the Baguio, La Trinidad, Bauang and Agoo zones. We started the day with a delicious breakfast from McDonalds:) and then the missionaries got to fill out their pass along cards for Christmas. They were going to try to invite as many as they could to come to church on December 22 for a special Christmas sacrament meeting. Then we had a very nice devotional. Some of the missionaries shared their Christmas traditions and expressed their love of the Savior at Christmas time. We ended the devotional by watching the new Nativity video that the church put out this year. It was a great ending to a special meeting. Lunch was then waiting which was catered by Sister Gina. She always does a great job of fixing a good meal and decorating the tables. After lunch and pictures, each zone had prepared a 10 minute variety show. They had us all laughing so hard as they performed for us! We played some games and then got ready to watch the movie Coco. It's such a cute Disney movie that helps us remember the importance of our ancestors. The day ended with a small gift for each of the missionaries and passing out boxes from home. Everyone came dressed so festive and we loved spending the whole day with each of these special missionaries. We love each one of them so much."
