Back to January 2020 and New Mission Delivery

We wanted to make sure we included everything from earlier this year!  Let's go back to January 2020.  Here is a message from my dad:

"Our year started off with great promise for our missionaries.  Our MLC had developed great goals for our mission and everyone was so excited to get started with a new year.  Our missionaries realized they could work harder and stretch themselves and they found joy doing that."

"Our interviews fell during the week of Valentines Day.  We had the missionaries write love notes to their families.  This is just a few of them.  Aren't they so sweet?"

"Follow up meeting after four weeks with our newest missionaries.  We love seeing how they grow and change during the first four weeks!  It can be a challenging time for them.  Some of them are learning the language, they are feeling homesick and they are trying to learn so much!"

"Now we will update you on the present.  We received a delivery one day at the mission office and it was our new smartphones!  All of the companionships have received one.  It took a lot of work to train us and then all of the missionaries.  It was also challenging getting them delivered to them.  We are not allowed to travel around our mission yet.  We delivered the ones we could drive to and had the rest sent by a professional delivery company.

After they all had their phones I asked them to send me a picture with their companions.  We had not seen most of them for two months.  They have been patient during this quarantine and we are so proud of them!
